Construction Contractors Employer Group (CCEG)

Who we are | What The CCEG Does For You | Why We Do It | 2005 News

The Construction Contractors Employer Group LLC, the Professional Employer Organization of the Associated General Contractors of Northwest Ohio is pleased to announce a number of exciting developments for 2005.

1. UNEMPLOYMENT RATES! Participating employers will enjoy an Ohio rate of 3.8% and a Michigan rate of 3.2%. That equates to an *annual savings of $300 to $400 per employee. Further, a unique feature of the CCEG is the ability of several employers to share a single contribution by hiring workers previously employed by a CCEG participant (if allowed by your labor contract). Imagine paying half or even a third of our already low rate by being diligent in your hiring.

2. INNOVATIVE WORKERS COMPENSATION FUNDING! Through its retrospective rating program, the CCEG is able to offer many of its participants dramatic savings. The program is divided into two parts:

a. The CCEG pays a percentage of base rates to the BWC for claims management and a cap on individual losses.

b. The CCEG maintains a self-insured loss fund to pay claims for its participants on a dollar for dollar basis with a $125,000 individual limit.

Almost any contractor with an EMR% of 55 or higher may benefit from participation in the CCEG’s retrospective rating program

3. UNION REPORTS! Participating employers receive monthly reports necessary to complete and pay their union contributions and deductions. No hassles, no guessing and no data to enter for updates or new locals.

4. EEOC COMPLIANCE! Participating employers receive the necessary policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal and state employment requirements. Not only is compliance required but it is absolutely necessary for contractors working on federal and state funded projects. Contractors and subcontractors found not to be in compliance with EEOC requirements may not be eligible for a contract award.

5. PAYROLL! CCEG administrators maintain a proprietary, state of the art, fully integrated payroll system assuring participants that complex wages, taxes, union benefits, unemployment and workers’ compensation are all calculated and reported with 99.99% accuracy.

The CCEG handles the deduction and payment of all court ordered support and garnishment payments for its participants.

The CCEG provides its participants with complete job costing using participants unique cost codes and/or provide labor distribution summaries by department.

The CCEG offers its participants “direct Deposit” payroll at NO additional cost.

6. HEALTH INSURANCE! The CCEG is committed to controlling the spiraling cost of Health Insurance. A 24 hour Nurse Hotline, care management, disease management and a unique care management program for expectant moms are features most plans do not have. All participants have 24 hour web-based access to important policy information.

Participating employers have the option of choosing from 3 different plans including a Health Savings Account for their non-union employees. Additionally, voluntary dental and vision, group life and short term disability are available at very competitive prices.
